Recently, I attended the GreyCTF 2025 Summit at NUS where I got to meet businesses and government departments that are involved in cybersecurity
During the summit, i attended talks and visited booths from different groups/organizations who came over to share with the summit participants
One talk I found interesting was the talk about forum scraping for early malware alerts. I had made web scrapers before but did not really think it could be related so closely with cybersecurity
With this, I got to network with many like-minded individuals with similar interests as me which was let me gather valuable insights about the current state of cybersecurity
I found my talk with the people managing the DIS booth particularly intriguing as I had not considered a possible job in the government
Additionally, I made connections with Bytedance, joining their youth cybersecurity talent group
